The Tiger Who Came to Tea competition - Terms and conditions

  1. The competition is open to participants under 12 years old who reside within the boundaries of North Wales (Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd, Isle of Anglesey, Wrexham) and the North West of England (Blackburn With Darwen, Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Cumbria, Halton, Knowsley, Lancashire, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, St Helens, Salford, Sefton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington, Wigan, Wirral); except:
    1. Employees of the museum and library services of Cheshire West and Chester Council.
    2. Members of the immediate families or households of (I) above.
  2. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to claim the prize.
  3. There is a limit of one entry per child. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  4. All competition entries must be submitted by email to libraries@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk before the end of Monday 30 November 2020 (the “Closing Date”). All competition entries received after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
  5. The winner will be selected as soon as possible after that date and will be selected at random from all eligible entries.
  6. Cheshire West and Chester Museums will contact the winner personally as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date, using the telephone number, address or email address provided with the competition entry.
  7. Cheshire West and Chester Museums will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If a chosen winner does not respond to correspondence within one (1) week, Cheshire West and Chester Museums reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected at random from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
  8. The decision of Cheshire West and Chester Museums will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The prize is not transferable to another person.
  10. The prize will be an age appropriate gift chosen from the official range of “The Tiger Who Came To Tea” merchandise to the winner. No part of the prize is negotiable or transferable.
  11. The prize should be collected at a prearranged time from the Grosvenor Museum, 27 Grosvenor Street, Chester. CH1 2DD. The winner must inform Cheshire West and Chester Museums if they cannot collect. If collection is not possible, please allow 30 days for delivery of the prize.
  12. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
  13. The prize is run by Cheshire West and Chester Museums, The Grosvenor Museum, 27 Grosvenor Street, Chester, CH1 2DD. 
  14. Cheshire West and Chester Museums reserve the right to amend the competition end date at any time.
  15. The participating council services are Cheshire West and Chester Council Library Service and Cheshire West Museums only,
  16. Online entries must include the age of the entrant.
  17. Cheshire West and Chester Library Service and Cheshire West Museums will not accept: (a) responsibility for competition entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or (b) proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
  18. Cheshire West and Chester Museums must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Cheshire West and Chester Museums will publish the surname and county of the prize winner and, if applicable, their winning entries online.
  19. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Cheshire West Museums via grosvenor.museum@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk.  In such circumstances, Cheshire West and Chester Museums must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  20. Cheshire West and Chester Museums will only process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Policy.
  21. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, Cheshire West and Chester Museums may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
  22. Cheshire West and Chester Museums reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  23. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound these terms and conditions.
