Macclesfield Policing Unit are targeting a number of issues as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week

To mark Neighbourhood Policing Week Wilmslow local policing units are highlighting the work they will be doing within the local community.

We will be targeting anti-social behaviour, handing out Selecta DNA kits for property marking, offering resident’s burglary prevention advice and promoting resident’s voice by engaging with the local community.

On the following days the public are encouraged to come and see their neighbourhood policing team for advice about home security and SelectaDNA property-marking kits.

Tuesday 25th January 10 – 12pm Wilmslow Town Centre, Grove Street
Wednesday 26th January 10 – 12pm Waitrose Car Park, Alderley edge
Thursday 27th January 10 – 12 Handforth Paddocks, Wilmslow Road
Friday 28th January 10 – 12 Summerfields shops, Dean Row Road.

As part of this activity we will also be offering members of the public free bike marking kits. They will be on hand to mark and register the kits that help to prevent and detect theft of bikes.

We will also be promoting resident’s voice. It is important to us that we know about the issues that cause you concern. We have set up a survey where you can tell us about the things you would like us to focus on in your area.

Sergeant James Bell, at Wilmslow local policing unit, said: “Cheshire Police are here for you 24/7. This week we are emphasising the wonderful work of our officers and making ourselves even more accessible to you and the community. Please do come and talk with us or take part in the Residents Voices survey.”
