Cyclist Security Advice

Alert message sent 17/03/2021 15:34:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Are you a keen cyclist? Do you use the Strava App to track your route? Criminals could be using this App to target where you store your bikes. On joining Strava, your profile/activities are set to be viewable by EVERYONE by default. Check your Privacy Controls to see who can view your routes.

We have seen a rise in shed thefts in surrounding areas targeting push bikes. If you have expensive push bikes please consider extra security measures including shed alarms, securing your bike to a solid structure and signing up to Bike Register for free with your bikes unique serial number: https://www.bikeregister.com/
