Patisserie Valerie to join the growing number of retailers in Barons Quay
5 October 2018Patisserie Valerie, a high quality bakery and continental cake shop is set to join the growing number of retailers coming to Northwich town centre over the coming months.
As well as providing everyone’s favourite cakes and a range of beautifully hand-crafted celebration cakes to take away, the new 2,200 sq ft store will have an 81-seater café where local residents can meet up with friends and family and enjoy afternoon tea.
Cabinet Member, Economic Development and Infrastructure Councillor Brian Clarke said: “We’re delighted about this latest signing and pleased with the attention Barons Quay is attracting at this time, particularly on the back of recent announcements that H&M, Sports Direct and The Entertainer toy store are coming to Northwich. We are certain that this will continue and that very soon we’ll be able to share even more good news for the town.
“The Council has always believed that Barons Quay would fulfil its real potential and we’re well on the way to achieving our goal of creating a vibrant and bustling town centre, one that people from the local area and beyond can be proud of.”
Paul May CEO of Patisserie Holdings PLC, the group that owns Patisserie Valerie, commented on the opening: ‘We’re very excited to be opening a new store in Northwich as this is a new location for us; presenting a great opportunity for us to reach a new customer base. Barons Quay is just one part of the wider regeneration plans for Northwich town centre, which also includes redevelopment of the Weaver Square area, which is currently undergoing a master planning process.
