Off-street parking places order: Ellesmere Port - Hope Farm Road (Randle Meadow)

THE CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL 
(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES, ELLESMERE PORT) (HOPE FARM ROAD (RANDLE MEADOW) VARIATION) ORDER 2021

NOTICE is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council proposes to make the above-named Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 32, 33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers.  
The effect of the Order will be to introduce control over the Hope Farm Road car park (known also as Randle Meadow) to keep it safe for users, including the prevention of parking outside of the bay markings.  No time limits or charges are being introduced.
The draft Order and the Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be viewed in the Public Notices section of the Council’s website.  Copies may be obtained by emailing: parking@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk or via telephone request to 0300 1237024.

Any objections to the draft Order should be sent in writing, stating the grounds of the objection, to the undersigned to arrive no later than 8th April 2021.  Any representations received may become available for public inspection.

The Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council (“the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Sections 32, 33 and 35 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (“the 1984 Act”), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and of all other enabling powers, and after consulting with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, hereby makes the following Order:
  1. This Order shall come into operation on >>> 2021 and may be cited as the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places, Ellesmere Port) (Hope Farm Road (Randle Meadow) Variation) Order 2021.
  2. The Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council (Off-Street Parking Places, Ellesmere Port) Order 2013 is hereby varied as follows:
    1. Schedule 7 (McGarva Way Car Park) is deleted;
    2. New Schedule 9 below is inserted in respect of Hope Farm Road (Randle Meadow) Car Park.

  • Classes of permitted vehicles - Motor cars, Goods Vehicles 3.5 tonnes maximum gross weight, Motor Cycles
  • Hours of operation - 24 hours
  • Charges - No charge
  • Maximum Period for which Vehicle may wait - No limit
  • Classes of permitted vehicles - Vehicles displaying in the Relevant Position a valid Disabled Person’s Badge and Parking Disc, and being used for the conveyance of a person with disabilities
  • Hours of operation - 24 hours
  • Charges - No charge
  • Maximum Period for which Vehicle may wait - For a period not exceeding 4 hours by the same Vehicle on the same day in the same Parking Place 

  • Classes of permitted vehicles - Vehicles displaying a valid Parking Permit as required by the Council
  • Hours of operation - 24 hours
  • Charges - In accordance with terms and conditions of issue
