Councillor Richard Beacham, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Growth, said: “Last year, nearly 200 people attended the fair looking for work, training or advice and guidance. The majority told us that being able to meet with employers was the most useful part of the day. Employers also found the event useful, with many of them being able to receive applications on the day for the vacancies they had brought.
“If you are not in education or employment this is a friendly and supportive event to meet with people who will be able to help. The employers and education providers can offer important advice for people to get on the path to a successful future in education or employment in west Cheshire.”
People who are thinking about starting their own business will be able to speak to advisers who can tell them how to start and where to get the appropriate advice and support.
If residents have wellbeing or money concerns that may be hindering them then experts will be on hand to offer support from organisations such as Active Cheshire, Carers in Employment, Credit Union, Debt Advice Network, Health Box, Princes Trust, New Leaf, National Careers Service plus others. Attendees will be able to speak to advisers to explore their employment options and get the support they need to get into work.
