Ellesmere Port Air Quality Forum

Ellesmere Port Air Quality Forum meets annually and brings together representatives from the community to address local concerns regarding air quality. It was formed in February 2000.

The forum:
  • Allows open discussion on local air pollution issues
  • Identifies local priorities
  • Addresses local priorities by drawing up a local air quality strategy
  • Helps co-ordinate awareness raising initiatives

Members of the Air Quality Forum

Current members of the air quality forum include:
  • Community groups and local residents
  • Local industry
  • Local environmental groups
  • Health bodies (for example Health Protection England)
  • The Environment Agency
  • Council officers
  • Local councillors
The forum is not an exclusive club. Anyone willing to help is welcome to take part. The forum is coordinated by the Environmental Protection Team.
