Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
29 January to 11 February 2022
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

  • Neston
  • Ringway – Resident woken by the sound of rattling.  Upon investigation found unknown male trying to get in.  Upon being confronted, the male ran off.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Unknown male offender, having climbed over the wall at the rear of warehouse, puts on a hi-vis coat, taken from inside the premises, before walking over to a tablet and concealing it in clothing before leaving.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Rochester Drive – Brick thrown through window.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Whilst group of youths walking across the car park of Whitby Group Practice one youth hits the window of the surgery with a can causing the glass to crack.
  • Rossmore
  • Oil Sites Road – Padlock cut off gates securing piece of land next to canal.
  • Dock Yard – Locks cut from storage unit, which houses bins for the local council.
  • Station Road – Deliberate fire set by youths in derelict public house.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ben Nevis Drive – Conservatory window hit by unknown object causing glass to shatter.
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive – Small amount of rubbish on the basketball court, within the park set alight.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Secured lime green Trek Marlin 5 and black Carrera Vengeance with skull patterned mud guards taken from the bike racks outside Asda, after the locks had been cut off. – 2 x males arrested.
  • Cloister Way – Two unknown males cut through boundary fencing and take four large gas bottles.
  • Sutton
  • Websters Lane – White van pulled up outside address.  Passenger got out and walked up driveway, picking up a Karcher pressure washer, before returning it to the van and driving away.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Allans Meadow – Blue Ford Fiesta, GU64 TKV taken from outside address.
  • Sutton
  • Caxton Close – Secured red, white and black Honda motorcycle crosser taken from rear garden during the early hours of the morning. – Bike located hidden under mattress on old garage site / wasteland on Hargrave Drive.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Fotheringay Court – Nissan Micra has registration plates, showing DH16 CDE, taken.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – VW Polo found to have had number plates missing whilst parked ion car park of Morrisons.  Number plates showed PL04 EEF.
  • Rossmore
  • South Road – Citroen C4 has number plates taken whilst parked at ‘Boat Museum’ car park.  Registration plates show DG17 VDY.
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade – Land Rover Discovery, parked on ‘Boat House Inn’ car park entered and navy blue leather handbag, containing IPhone 6 and card case and cards taken. 
  • Netherpool
  • Kalewood Road – Hydraulic breaker unit for 1.5 tonne excavator taken by unknown.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Coliseum Way – Renault, parked in parking area near to cinema keyed scratched along the passenger side of vehicle.
  • Turing Avenue – Vauxhall Meriva, parked on residential driveway kicked by unknown males from a nearby party before they rip the windscreen wipers off and walk off.
  • Whitby
  • Ambleside Road – Fiat 500, parked at roadside has driver door handle completely ripped off and taken.
  • Neston
  • Hawkins Road – Peugeot 208, whilst parked outside address, scratched along the drivers door.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Broadlake – Nissan Qashqai found with scratching along entire length of the side of the vehicle and a large screw pushed into the nearside tyre.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Rear tail light smashed on Vauxhall Corsa.
