Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
21 September to 12 October 2020
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Neston
  • Liverpool Road – Front door to property forced to gain entry. Untidy search carried out.  Cash taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Grange Crescent – Three unknown males have looked into vehicles parked on driveway before climbing over fence.  Security light ripped off wall and bolt on fence gate cut off.  Black and yellow Karcher taken.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Door kicked in and TV taken from living room. – Male arrested and charged.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Milton Road – Two business premises targeted
    • Rear door to ‘Peking Kitchen’ forced open to gain access to premises. Packet of cigarettes and money from cash register taken.
    • Rear door to beauty business damaged in what appears to have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain access to the property.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Westwood Court – Entry gained into complex on ‘Clayhill Industrial Estate’ after boundary gates ripped off. Three VW camper vans entered, after windows smashed to gain entry. Complete interiors removed and taken. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stokesay Court – Damage caused to front door by unknown means.
  • Warwick Court – Two properties damaged by group of youths.*
    • Windows smashed and door damaged.
    • Fencing to exterior damaged.
  • Whitby
  • Birkett Avenue – 2 reports received from separate properties reporting objects thrown at the windows.
    • Bedroom window at front of property hit by a pellet type object causing a hole and the entire window to crack.
    • No damage caused at other property.
  • Rossmore
  • Crescent Road – Damage cause to a number of sheds, poly tunnels, green house and numerous plants destroyed.
  • Westminster Road – Shop window smashed by male.
  • New Grosvenor Road – Park bench set alight.
  • Netherpool
  • Woodacre Road – Brick thrown at window causing damage.
  • St. Pauls
  • Walkers Lane – Stones thrown at bathroom window causing glass to shatter.
  • Old Chester Road – Electricity supply cable to ‘Great Frys’ cut by unknown offender.  All four tyres of vehicle also slashed. (no vehicle details at this time)
  • Sutton
  • Singleton Road – Brick thrown at front door by unknown female.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Beer bottle thrown at window smashing it.
  • Camden Road – Windows to front of property smashed. – Named suspect.
  • Sutton Way – Unknown male sets wheelie bin, at rear of flats, alight.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cromwell Road – 30ft of copper taken from building site.
  • Alnwick Drive – Foldaway bike (no further details) left insecure outside ‘Bunbury House’ taken.
  • Beaumaris Drive – Grey wheelie taken by youths and set alight on Bunbury Green.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Neston Road – Orange Belle cement mixer taken from garden.
  • Neston
  • The Cross – Yellow Diamond back mountain bike, left insecure outside ‘Tesco’ taken.
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Lock removed from secure container on building site. 2 x petrol cut-off saws and a petrol powered concrete poker taken. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
  • Netherpool
  • Rivacre Brow – Grey Transit, L80 BUD, parked outside address taken by unknown offenders.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Dover Drive – Set of extension ladders taken from the roof of van (no further details at this time) by males who pull up in a white van.
  • Cheshire Oaks -  Ford Kuga, parked in car park near to ‘Debenhams’ has window, having been left slightly ajar, forced down to enable offender to take an IPhone 5 which had been left inside.
  • Parkgate
  • North Parade – Mini One, parked on ‘the Old Baths’ car park has rear windscreen smashed and handbag taken from the boot.
  • Station Road – Peugeot 308, parked on ‘Old Quay’ car park has both the front and rear registration plates, showing DA14 VPC taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • St. Andrews Road – Ford Focus, outside residential address set alight, also causing damage to property. – 2 males arrested.
  • Malvern Avenue – Ford s-Max scratched along passenger side of vehicle.
  • Alnwick Drive – Number of separate incidents carried out by group of youths within area.*
  • Dacia Duster, whilst on a delivery has rear door damaged by rock thrown by local youths.
  • Mini tipped onto side.
  • Whitby
  • Grindley Gardens – Toyota Auris found with small hole in rear window.
  • Sutton
  • Talbot Road – BMW 216D has door panel damaged, possibly having been kicked.
  • Grange
  • Earls Gardens – BMW 118i has two tyres slashed and four separate panels of bodywork and bonnet scratched.
