Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
6 to 14 February 2020
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Millfield – 2 reports received occurring during the same time frame.
    • Lock snapped on rear patio doors to gain entry.  Alarm has sounded and offender/s have left.
    • Property entered by unknown means and untidy search made of kitchen and school bag.  Nothing believed to have been taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossmore Road East – Locks snapped on conservatory to gain access.  Keys to an Audi A3, S3 BWU taken along with the vehicle. – Vehicle recovered in Notty Ash, Liverpool.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Ferguson Avenue – Padlock removed from shed door to gain access. Golf clubs, trolley and Stihl chainsaw taken.
  • Rivacre Road – Padlocks cut off compound gates to access yard at ‘Rivacre Country Valley Park’.  Padlocks then cut from storage containers.  Nothing believed taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marshall Drive – Door kicked damaged lock.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Neston Road – Secure stable yard has padlock cut off access gate.  Nothing appears to have been taken.
  • Brook Well – Outer pane of glass in front downstairs window smashed with a brick.  Damage also caused to a vehicle which had been parked at address.
  • St. Pauls
  • Station Road – Post box outside business premises forced open causing damage.
  • Sutton
  • Bridge Meadow – Window smashed at ‘Whitby Methodist Church’.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Industrial red bin taken from rear of premises.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Hillside Drive – Ring doorbell taken from front door.
  • Sutton
  • Eddisbury Road – Staff member has purse taken from handbag.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Secure Yamaha MT-90, DA67 BFO, parked in multi storey car park at ‘Sainsburys’ taken by 2 unknown offenders who have arrived on another motor bike.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossmore Road East –Audi A3, S3 BWU taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle recovered in Notty Ash, Liverpool.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Liverpool Road – Honda Jazz, parked at business premises on ‘Clayhill Industrial Estate’ has catalytic convertor taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Meadow Lane – Toyota IQ has both front and rear registration plates, showing SL09 HNJ taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Bailey Avenue – 2 incidents of vehicles being entered reported having occurred during the same time frame.
    • Maxda 3 entered via unknown means and Laptop taken from boot.
    • VW Touran entered via unknown means.  Untidy search made within but nothing appears to have been taken.
  • Rossmore Road East – Entry gained into Vauxhall Zafira by unknown means.  Purse taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Mornington Avenue – Mercedes C320 had all 4 tyres slashed. – Previous damage caused last week where white paint was thrown over the bonnet.
  • Richmond Court – Fiat 500l had 2 tyres slashed.
  • The Oval – Wing mirrors damaged on Peugeot 106.
  • Rossmore
  • Charles Price Gardens – Ford Transit damaged (no further details).
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Brook Well – VW Caddy has rear window smashed.
  • Neston
  • Mayfield Gardens – Ford Focus scratched along the side of the vehicle. – Caller reported a number of other vehicles had been damaged but no other reports have been received at this time.
  • Brook Street – Wiper rubbers ripped off all window wipers on Honda Civic.
  • St. Pauls
  • Fulwood Road – Vauxhall Vectra has windscreen smashed.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Window smashed on Vauxhall Meriva.
