Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
12th to 23rd November 2018
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Mayfield Gardens – Rear ground floor window forced to gain entry. Ibanez RG560 has been stolen, together with a Digitech Pedal Board.
  • Ringway – Denting, possibly made by a screwdriver found next to lock on front door and on a ground floor window in what may have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Starbeck Drive – The caller has walked home with her friend and has been followed to the address by an unknown male.  Having entered the address, the male has entered the address uninvited by the front door and has said 'hello ladies'.  When confronted by the house occupants he has run off.
  • Grange
  • Atherton Road – Damage found in rubber seals of door in what may have been an attempt to gain entry. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Raby Court – Rear yard area to flats entered and an attempt has been made to enter the 6 outside storage areas for each flat.  Entry has been gained in to 3 where property has been removed, including a mountain bike which was then discarded on the road, possibly die to having a flat rear tyre. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • The Quillet – Entry gained into locked garage by unknown means.  Door left wide open but nothing appears to have been taken.
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive – Shed found to have had top bolt lock cut off.  No entry gained.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Station Road – Group of youths at rear of ‘Station Hotel’ damaging building.
  • Exeter Road – Brick thrown through window to front of property.
  • York Road – Group of youths congregating in the area under the covered walkway near to the market hall entrance damage light fitting with stones.
  • Marina Drive – Dinting found in metal security door and damage to brick work where a metal bar has been poked into wall causing bricks to crumble and break.
  • Whitby
  • Elm Grove – Cold called at property by male offering to paint the roof.  Services declined but offered chance to view sample, but nothing left.  Upon returning home later during the day the homeowner finds part of the roof has been painted and paint had dripped onto block paving and garden furniture.
  • Capenhurst Lane – During the hours of darkness the grounds of the Catholic High School have been entered and damage has been caused to the nets in the football goals and also the electric to the exterior shutters on the ports cabins. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Badger Bait – Key hole on mailbox glued.
  • Netherpool
  • Kalewood Road – Barrier to travellers’ site damaged. – Named suspect.
  • Sutton
  • Appleton Drive – Window od school smashed. – Named suspect.
  • Grange
  • Whitby Road – Glass panels in bus stop outside ‘Salvation Army’ smashed, leaving cables exposed.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Black Carrera Subway One with grey and lime green markings, secured to bike stand at ‘Bus Station’ taken by unknown offender.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Arthur Avenue – Lexus 200, W459 KFA, parked on roadside with keys locked inside taken by unknown offender. – Located parked and secure at the rear of Brancepeth Court.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Welsh Road – Male found rooting through Peugeot Partner which had been locked and was parked on a residential drive.  Unknown being disturbed the male then got into silver Volvo, displaying foreign registration plates and drove off in the direction North Wales.
  • Parkgate Road – 3 reports received of vehicles being entered whilst securely parked on the carpark of ‘The Tudor Rose’ over the past few days.
    • 1st – Works van (no further details) parked on carpark of ‘The Tudor Rose’ entered after the wires in the door have been accessed and cut through to disable the central locking mechanism. 3 power drills taken. – Possibly linked to offender at the Welsh Road incident above
    • 2nd – Toyota Hilux has rear window smashed and cases containing drills/power tools taken from rear of vehicle.
    • 3rd – Ford Fiesta has rear window smashed.  Unknown if anything taken at this time.
  • Station Road – Renault Trafic, parked on road outside residential property has rear doors forced open and a Makita drill and impact driver taken from within.
  • Bendee Road – Citroen Dispatch, parked on residential driveway entered by unknown means and 3 power drills taken.
  • Neston
  • Bushell Close – Insecure Vauxhall Vivaro entered and tool box taken.
  • Chester Road – Nissan Juke, parked in carpark of ‘Royal British Legion’ has front and rear registration plate, VO13 TYU taken.
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade – Peugeot 107, parked on carpark of ‘The Boathouse’ entered by unknown means and handbag taken from not.
  • Moorfield Drive – Peugeot Expert van entered after side door levered open.  Quantity of electrical and battery operated tools taken from within.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Skipton Drive – VW Transporter has lock on rear door damaged to gain entry. Planer with batteries, Bosch charger, Bosch drill and Makita plaster mixer taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester Road – Nissan Navara Tekna, parked in carpark of ‘The Burleydam’ has window smashed and Stihl chainsaw taken from rear of vehicle.
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Lorry parked up at ‘Prowell Ltd’ on the ‘Pioneer Business Park’ found with rear doors open.  Interior had been ransacked and items taken from within.  Lorry had been full of biscuits.
  • Sutton
  • Fenwick Road – 2 males in a red van pull alongside van (no further details) parked on residential street.  The males then break the lock using a screwdriver.  Males disturbed and make off in red van. – Incident reported that caller was sat in a car in front of works van who witnessed 3 males rip the door handle off the van in an attempt to gain entry into it. – They males were using a Maroon Citroen Berlingo, displaying a foreign registration plate. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on carpark near to ‘Superdry’ shop has windscreen smashed.
  • Rugby Road – Vauxhall Mokka damaged by 2 unknown youths. – No further details.
  • Whitby
  • Sycamore Drive – Whilst being driven along road Citroen Picasso hot by a ‘slime balloon’ which has chipped the paintwork.
  • Stanney Lane – Mercedes C220, parked on carpark of ‘David Lloyd’ keyed along rear offside panel. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Parkgate Road – Ford Focus, parked on carpark of ‘The Tudor Rose’ scratched down the centre of the windscreen.
  • Neston Road – Rock thrown at vehicle, full details unknown being driven under the bridge near to community centre causing the windscreen to crack.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Swale Road – Range Rover has quarter light smashed. – Previous damage caused to another Land Rover at address day before.
