Runcorn Local Policing Unit, Halton Castle ward
October is traditionally a very busy time for us in Runcorn with Halloween and mischief night stretching our resources but thankfully his year passed without major incident on our ward and people enjoyed both evenings. Officers worked later shifts to cover “OP TREACLE” during this normally disruptive period and it was a great success compared to other years.
Thank-you to the lovely Castlefields Pensioners for putting a spell on me to get me through the evening safely.
We have recovered three stolen Bikes this month which have been used to cause Anti-Social behaviour in the area. Please continue to send us any Dashcam footage or information relating to were nuisance motorbikes are stored, you can do this via the OP SCRAMBLER email address below.
NB:Drugs information can be passed via email , verbally to myself or other officers.
Or anonymously via crime stoppers 0800555111
Tru-Cam enforcement will be conducted on the ward once a week and we have a set time of 1 hour when enforcing. Recent areas enforced have been Castlefields Avenue North and Castlefields Avenue East
Please drive responsibly to avoid receiving penalties
We have had reports of an attempted burglary in the village so please be vigilant lock all your doors even if you’re in and don’t leave your keys in the locks or on a table near to the doors. Secure all windows and doors when away from your property even if you are only nipping next door.
Now that the dark nights are here motion activated security lights should be high on your to do list not only will it draw peoples gaze towards your property but thief’s would rather work unseen.
