Alert message sent 12/01/2018 08:25:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Dear Residents / Members of Culcheth.

Dispersal order authorisation: Culcheth village.

Section 34 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 , allows police officers of or above the rank of Inspector to authorise the dispersal of persons in a specific area to prevent crime and disorder for up to 48 hours.

This will be enforced from 1500hrs today and concludes at 1500hrs Sunday 14th January.
This empowers a Police constable or Police Community Support officer to issue an order on any youth that is acting in anti social behaviour and prevents that youth from returning to an area within that time. A map will be issued to the youth on issue of the order.

May I remind residents if you notice any acts of youth disorder in the village to contact the Police. 999 IF IN AN EMERGENCY or 101 NON EMERGENCY.

Regards
