Burglaries in Croft

Alert message sent 14/10/2017 15:24:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

To residents of Croft/Culcheth

Over the past couple of weeks the area has seen an increase in burglaries from outbuildings being Garages, Sheds, outhouses. The items being stolen are power tools from ride on lawnmowers to cordless drills.
Three burglaries have occurred in Stone Pit lane and the latest was 12th October on Mustard lane, all have been committed during the night time.
Can I remind residents to pay particular attention to any vehicle in the area that is acting suspiciously. There was a report of a white Transit Van entering a farm in Croft on 12th October and asking workmen if they wished to purchase Power tools, this vehicle bared a part registration of SF64... the occupants of that vehicle had Irish accents and Police are pursuing enquiries with regards to this.
Police have had other reports from the local community with regards other vehicles being parked in fields near to where other burglaries have occurred and enquiries are being progressed.
Please check your security and remove items out of view of passing motorists or prying eyes and be vigilant.

Any information please report it on 101 or email me direct.
