Alert message sent 13/07/2017 10:54:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Dear Residents

Thank you to all who responded to our recent request regarding issues that you felt are the main roads policing problems in your area. The results, which may not surprise many, highlighted speeding issues, off-road motorbikes and ASB, and mobile phone users. Also featuring very highly were parking issues in relation to very precise areas.

All your responses that feature specific issues affecting your area have been passed to the relevant Beat Managers for their attention.

Also this week sees the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) Mobile Phone Campaign. Police forces this week are tasked to crack down on mobile phone use by drivers in targeted operations to prosecute offenders and drive home the risks and consequences of distraction driving. Cheshire Police are appealing for any dash-cam footage of drivers using their mobile phones whilst driving which can be brought to Widnes police station, or contact 101.

Kindest regards

Chris
