Alert message sent 14/05/2017 08:57:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Dear Congleton Residents,
We have unfortunately had shed break-ins and items taken from vehicles over the past 2 weeks in the following locations:

Giantswood Lane
Ascot Close
Ullswater Road
Lawton Street

Nothing has been taken from the sheds although locks have been forcibly removed and a wallet has been taken from a vehicle along with work tools.

If you have seen any suspicious vehicles, persons or have any other information, please contact us via 101 quoting Incident 585 08/05/2017. Your call will be dealt with in complete confidence and the information you supply may help us to further reduce burglary and other offences in your area.

Please never leave anything of value in your vehicle and make sure that it is locked at all times. Never leave car keys by a door or window that can be accessed via a letterbox.

Panel vans are currently a target as thieves know that high value machinery may be kept inside.

One male has been arrested in relation to the theft from motor vehicle

many thanks
