Thefts from Motor Vehicles

Alert message sent 21/04/2017 12:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Dear Residents,

I am emailing to make you aware that between the 18th April and the end of 20th April, Cheshire Police have been told of 4 vehicles that have been broken into and items stolen.
Initially it was thought that some of the vehicles may have been left unlocked, however the most recent reports state the vehicles were locked.
With this in mind, it appears that offenders are trying car door handles and/or breaking in to vehicles to steal from them.
Please could all car owners take a moment to consider whether any valuables are left in their vehicles at any time, but particularly overnight. Items stolen have included cash, important identification documents, Ipods, prescription drugs and a Sat Nav system.
Most of these items contain personal information which an offender could use for their own benefit, and ofcourse cost the owner to replace.
The break ins took place on Coronation Road, Norleane Crescent and Langdale Road.

Finally, please could I ask that you speak to friends and family who are not signed up to Cheshire Alert and pass on this information to them.
