Lorry fire on M6 by Lymm

Lorry on fire on the M6 northbound by Lymm


A lorry is on fire on the M6 motorway slip road (northbound) by Lymm, junction 20 to 21.  The fire is causing lots of smoke across the motorway.  Police have closed all three lanes of the motorway, while fire crews deal with the incident.

Fire crews are using two hose reels to extinguish the fire.  Three firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
