Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Your Team
This is the first update for residents of Halton Brook, Runcorn.  Your beat team for the area are me, PC 5610 Hannah Palser and PCSO 21141 Kyle Holcroft.
We are supported by colleagues on response and specialist units including but not limited to Traffic and CID. Inspector Barry Brown oversees uniformed the Local Policing Units.

The Halton Brook Team is providing a visible presence and reassurance in the area whilst concentrating on some of more challenging and time consuming problems and issues that are affecting the local community. The priorities we focus on can vary depending on current crime patterns and demands and needs of the residents. Work we regularly carry out can vary from investigating drugs activity, Anti-Social Behaviour, Persistent Shoplifting offences, and managing locations and persons causing repeat demand to services or annoyance to others.

Meetings
Currently there is a community meeting once a month held at Halton Brook Community Centre and provides you with an opportunity to come and see one of the team and have chat with us.  The next meeting will be held on Thursday 17th May 2016 at 1.45pm.

Drugs
There has been a rise in reports of drug use and activity most recently in Halton Brook and as such it is now a priority for us to reduce possession of drugs and to target those who are suspected of dealing drugs in the area. We are already taking action to resolve these issues so please get in touch with us confidentially on 101 to make us aware of any information you have, or alternatively contact Crimestoppers at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ or on 0800 555 111.

News

In September 2015 residents were asked about their thoughts on the ASB issues that disrupted the residents of Castle Rise. A fresh survey was conducted in March 2016 and showed a fantastic improvement in the area following the recent Police action taken. 95% of residents involved in the survey are now reporting no further ASB issues. 13% of residents asked that Police were more visible in the area, something we are working to do more of. Runcorn officers have worked hard with partnership agencies to address the issues that were originally reported. This resulted in the few causing issues being effectively managed so the issues have not continued. We would like to thank the residents of the area for their continued support and their patience whilst we looked into the problems. Please continue to let us know of the issues you are having. Steps are being taken to tackle the reports of off-road motorbikes in the area. An update on this will follow.

You can contact us by calling 101 for non-emergencies and via Twitter and Facebook.
Or email us directly at Runcorn.lpu@cheshire.pnn.police.uk

We look forward to hearing from you,

Sincerely

Hannah and Kyle.
