Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
5 to 11 September 2015
 Incidents reported relating to outbuildings/garden:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Eton Road – Locks broken off gate and shed entered.  Nothing believed taken.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Building site where new sports field is under construction entered. Offender/s have then entered port-a-cabin via an insecure window and once inside located key to container.  Contained entered and whacker plate, Husqvarna cutting saw and copper cable taken from within.
  • Rossmore
  • South Pier Road – During the hours of darkness offender/s have forced door to pattern shop, breaking it in two and unsuccessfully attempted to gain entry into one of the mock cottages on the Boat Museum site. Nothing taken.
 Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Rossmore
  • George Street – 3 youths seen trying to force padlock on gates to bowling area.  No entry made.
  • Neston
  • Buildwas Road – Over the weekend period offenders have cut through the razor wire, installed along the top of the boundary wall – repeat victim.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ledsham Road – Cultivated farm land set alight – issues with youths of late causing damage to crops in field.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Brick thrown at front window and wheelie bin set alight – 3 males arrested.
  • Woodchurch Lane – Youths have pulled external metal sheeting from external wall of derelict sports hall on old school site.  Entry gained to building but due to condition of building unknown if any further damage has been caused.  Youths have also knocked through bricks in wall leaving large hole into building.  Youths have again been on site and set fires on astro turf area on number of occasion throughout the time period of this newsletter.
  • Red Lion Lane – 2 rocks found on driveway after group of youths disturbed hanging around outside the property – within past week vehicles parked on driveway have had damage caused to the lights and wing mirrors and the gate to the property has also been damaged.
  • Sutton
  • Pulford Road – House brick thrown through ground floor residential window.  Bottle containing flammable liquid which has been set alight is then thrown at the window, combusting on the outside window sill, causing fire damage.  Suspect then makes off in what is believed to have been an unprovoked and random attack.

Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Whitelook mountain bike, secured inside telecommunications build taken by unknown offender.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Peebles Close – 2 males, using a red, high top, long wheel base transit style van, in red have walked up residential driveway and taken 2 radiators which were propped up against a skip.
  • St. Pauls
  • Eccleston Avenue – Insecure green BMX taken from front garden.
Vehicle Crime 

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt theft from motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village – Tow bar taken from Land Rover Discovery parked in multi-story car park. 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Dudleston Road – Entry gained into secure Peugeot 206 via passenger key hole.  Nothing taken – not know if the vehicle had been parked at this location when the damage occurred.
  • Black Lion Lane – VW Golf and Vauxhall Corsa, parked on residential driveway have their rear windscreen wipers damaged with an unknown implement.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hadlow Road – Mercedes Motor Caravan, parked on residential road entered by forcing window. Untidy search made and radio, ladder and electrical items taken.
  • Chester Hall – Peugeot works van, parked on car park of Brewers Fayre Public House entered by breaking lock on drivers door.  Alarm has sounded and offender/s have made off. Nothing taken.
 Incidents reported relating to damage to motor vehicles:
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Craxton Wood Hotel, Parkgate Road – Peugeot Boxer Van entered by unknown means.  Various items taken from within.
  • Parkgate Road – 2 male in a white van have driven onto car park of Premier Inn and parked up near to Ford Transit.  They have then gained entry into this vehicle by unknown means and taken a quantity of tools from within.
  • Parkgate
  • Parkgate House Court, The Parade – Nissan Navara has lock on boot tampered – number of vehicle have had the tyres slashed at this location during previous week.
