Council reports on 2015/16 performance

25 October 2016

Cheshire West and Chester Council has published its Annual Report 2015/16, which sets out how it has performed in the past financial year.

The report outlines how the Council is achieving its aims and helping residents, communities and the economy to thrive.

It details investment in regeneration, culture, housing and transport infrastructure as well as overall financial performance.

Cllr Samantha Dixon, Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “The Annual Report is an important document for us.

“It’s our chance to highlight what we have done well in the past financial year, the savings and investments we have made and how our projects are making a real and positive difference to people’s lives.

“Significantly, in 2015/16 we carried out an extensive consultation with residents and developed our new Council plan, called Helping the Borough Thrive, guided by the results of the consultation.

“This identifies the 10 priority outcomes that the Council will be working towards by 2020 and the Annual Report shows how we are making a good start in achieving them.” Printed copies of the report are available in the borough’s libraries, as well as at HQ, in Chester, Wyvern House, in Winsford, and Civic Way, in Ellesmere Port.
