Parkgate Community Forum, Neston Cricket Club, 25 November 2015

Over 100 residents attended a recent community forum held at Neston Cricket club and hosted by Cheshire West and Chester Councillor, Martin Barker. The meeting was an opportunity for residents to listen to presentations given by a number of presenters, to ask further questions following the presentations and give their suggestions and ideas for further improvements to the Parkgate ward.
Presentations were given by Professor Clarkson on the mosquito monitoring that had taken place this this year and the mosquito activity traffic light system on the Neston Town council’s web site. Councillor David Carter on updates from Neston Town council relating to the Ropewalk play area, allotments and Christmas lights. David Johnson on behalf of the Parkgate Society Community Spirit group and Parkgate entering the Community Pride competition in 2016 and Councillor Barker on a proposal to develop the Station Road /Wirral Way car park to both increase the number of parking spaces and make it more inviting for car users to park there.
