Temporary Restriction of Pedestrians - public footpath 11 Crowton and public footpath 12 Acton Bridge
|Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council proposes to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath No 11 Crowton which commences at the junction with Public Footpath No 10 Crowton leading off Ainsworth Lane at OSGR SJ 5779 7541 and running in a generally north easterly direction to the Acton Bridge parish boundary, continuing along Public Footpath 12 Acton Bridge to the termination point at Cliff Lane, Acton Bridge at OSGR SJ 5848 75811.|
The closure is necessary while there is a likelihood of danger to the public. The Order will come into force on 28 July 2016 and will continue in force for a period of six months, or until there is no likelihood of danger to the public.
An alternative route is available from the the junction with Public Footpath No 10 Crowton running along that footpath to its termination on Cliff Lane, running in generally easterly direction along Cliff Lane and Bridleway 13 Acton Bridge to the junction of Cliff Lane and Public Footpath 12 Acton Bridge. Pedestrians are advised to follow the alternative route.
