The day is being spearheaded by Louise Hough from Crafty Stitches, while the Northwich Business Improvement District (BID) has provided funding to help support the initiative's marketing and communications.
Mindfulness is the practice of focusing your awareness on the present moment and is a technique used to help combat depression, anxiety and stress.
On the day, various town centre businesses will host mindful activities for the public to enjoy with sessions taking place both on Witton Street and over at Vinnies Cakes and Shakes, 5 Market Street.
From 10am-4pm, Crafty Stitches will be hosting a number of workshops including Learn to Knit, a Diamond art taster and Knitting for Socks Against Suicide and Vinnies will be running Cupcake Decorating sessions from 10am-11am and 3pm-4pm.
As well as this, representatives from Brio Leisure and the Rosebank Sports Wellbeing Centre will be on hand to give advice about mindfulness and the various services they offer with regards to mental health and wellbeing.
The Northwich Art Shop will also deliver a watercolour session as part of the event however this is already fully booked.
Northwich BID Manager Jane Hough is pleased to be able to support the town's first ever Mindfulness Day and hopes plenty of people go along to take part in the activities that have been organised.
She said: "Mindfulness can help to play a massive part in helping improve mental health and wellbeing and hopefully this initiative will raise awareness of it.
"When Louise approached Northwich BID with the concept of a day centred around mindfulness we were more than happy to get involved and it was great to see other business supporting the initiative too.
"If you're looking for something to do on Saturday please come along and see what the day is all about as there's lots to see and do and plenty to learn surrounding the topic of mindfulness."
