Permanent traffic order: Dunham-on-the-Hill and Helsby - A5117 Shotwick-Frodsham Road, Hapsford and A56 Chester Road (40mph and 50mph speed limits)
Permanent traffic orderNotice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council proposed to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provision of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(A5117 Shotwick-Frodsham Road, Hapsford and A56 Chester Road, Dunham-on-the-Hill and Helsby 40 and 50mph) (Speed limits) Order 2018
The effect of the Order will be to:
1. Introduce a 40mph speed limit on A56/A5117 Chester Road, Helsby, Dunham-On-The-Hill and Hapsford from a point 65 metres north-east of its junction with Primrose Lane to a point 168 metres west of its junction with A56 Chester Road a distance of approximately 500 metres.
2. Introduce a 50mph speed limit on A5117 Shotwick-Frodsham Road, Hapsford from a point 168 metres west of its junction with A56 Chester Road to the junction with M56 at junction 14 a distance of approximately 1360 metres.
The Order will consolidate other speed limits in the area.
Full details are in the draft Orders which, together with a plan showing the extents of the proposals may be examined at the Council Offices, Ground Floor Reception, The Forum, Chester between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
All objections and other representation relating to the Orders must be made in writing to the undersigned by 21 December and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations made should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.
