Permanent traffic order

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council proposes to make the following Traffic Regulation Orders in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Cheshire West and Chester borough Council

 (Upton Heath, Chester) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Acres Lane from its junction with Caughall Road for a distance of 336m in an easterly direction, Alwyn Gardens, Brooke Avenue, Dulas Court, Endsleigh  Close, Ensleigh Gardens, Flag Lane North, Greenfields, Laurel Bank Close, McFarlane Close, Oakfield Avenue, and Oakfield Drive.

(Upton North, Chester) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Daleside, Dale Drive, Earls Oak, Kingsmead, Lawn Drive, Linksway, Meadowsway, St Christophers Close, Upton Lane from its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 260m, Walnut Close, Willow Close.

Westminster Park, Chester) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Bartholomew Way, Castle Croft Road, Cavendish Road, Chiltern Close, Claypit Road, Cotgreaves Close, Cottage Road, Cowhey Close, Dennis Drive, Denstone Drive, Farbailey Close, Fir Tree Avenue, Five Ashes Road from its junction with Castle Croft Road for a distance of 406m, Johnsons Close, Lowerfield Road, Ludwell Close, Manor Road, Meadowfiled Road, Merton Drive, Norwood Drive, Radnor Drive, Rushfield Road, Sherbourne Avenue, Vincent Drive, Westminster Avenue, Whaddon Drive.

(Waverton area) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following  roads:

Abbotts Close, Abbotts Road, Allansford Avenue, Brookdale Way, Capesthorne Road, Cowthorne Drive, Croft Close, Dormer Close, Fox Lane, Greenfield Crescent, Greenfield Road, Hurstwood, Millers Close, Millway, Mount Way, Ringway, Sheraton Road, St. Georges Crescent, The Anchorage, Waterway.

(Great Barrow area) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Lampits Lane, Main Street, Manor Close, Manor Park, Mill Lane, Old Stack Yard and Village Road from its junction with Main Street to a point 25 metres north of its junction with Lampits Lane.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Church Lane from a point 37 metres north-east of its junction with Liverpool Road for a distance of 271 metres in a northerly and easterly direction, Gordon Lane from its junction with Church Lane for a distance of 205 metres in a northerly direction.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Arrowcroft Road, Church Lane, Cinder Close, Cinder Lane, Fir Tree Close, Grove Gardens, Hill Top Road, Littleton Lane from its southern junction with The Bye Pass for a distance of 221 metres in an easterly and northerly direction, Old Hall Park and Vicarage Close.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Barnston Court, Barnston Mews, Church Lane, Church Street, Crewe Lane, Dee Crescent, Dee View, Green Way, Heron Close, Ince Drive, Kingfisher Close,  Lime Tree Drive, Lloyd Close, Maddocks Close, Meadow Close, Millfield Close, Nightingale Close, Orchard Grove, Parker Drive, Plover Close, Quarry Avenue, Quarry Court, Quarry Hill, River Lane, Starling Close, Speed’s Way, Townfield Avenue.

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Andrews Close, Arden Close, Brereton Close, Broom Crescent, Broomheath Lane, Church Street from its junction with High Street for a distance of 110 metres in a southerly direction, Crossfields, Deans Way, Field Close, Field Lane, Gowy Crescent, Hallfields Road, Heath Close, Heath Drive, High Street from a point 20 metres east of its junction with Hockenhull Lane for a distance of 440 metres in a north-easterly direction, Hockenhull Avenue, Hockenhull Crescent, Hockenhull Lane from its southern junction with Crossfields for a distance of 255 metres in a northerly direction, Hunters Crescent, Hunters Drive, Meadow Close, Moreton Croft, Park Close, Pitts Close, Platts Lane, Sheaf Close, Tarporley Road Service, The Bruen, The Pryors, The Ridgeway.

(Kelsall area) (20mph and 30mph speed limits) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Blackbird Court, Brambling Close, Bramley Court, Brook Drive, Broom’s Lane, Carter Avenue, Carter Close, Castle Close, Chapel Triangle, Church Street, Church Street North, Clemley Lane, Common Lane from its junction with Church Street for a distance of 64 metres in a southerly direction, Dingle Lane, Dutton’s Lane, Earle’s Lane, Edale Drive, Flat Lane from a point 135 metres south-east of its junction with Chester Road south-eastwards to its junction with Church Street/ Meadow Bank, Firecrest Way, Fox Hill, Grub Lane, Hall Lane from its junction with Old Coach Road for a distance of 110 metres in a northerly direction, Hallows Close, Hallows Drive, Hillcrest Road, Hillside Road, Kelsborrow Way, Kingswood Walk, Longley Avenue, Old Coach Road, Orchard Way, Pasture Close, Redhill Road, Rookery Close, The Dell, The Wynd, Thistle Close.

The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits.

(Mannings Lane and The Street, Hoole Village) (20mph and 40mph speed limits) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Mannings Lane from its junction with Picton Gorse Lane to its junction with The Street; and The Street from its junction with Mannings Lane to its junction with Oak Bank Lane.

(Church Lane, Huxley) (20mph and 40mph speed limits) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce (i) a 20mph speed limit on Church Lane from its junction with Huxley Lane for a distance of 273 metres in a southerly direction; and (ii) a 40mph speed limit on Church Lane from a point 273      metres south of its junction with Huxley Lane for a distance of 150 metres in a southerly direction.

(Saighton Lane, Saighton) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on Saighton Lane from a point 10 metres east of its junction with Sandy Lane for a distance of 165 metres in an easterly direction.

The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits on Saighton Lane.

(Tattenhall area) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Bostock Avenue, Breen Close, Castlefields, Chester Road from its junction with Rookery Drive to its junction with High Street, Church Bank, Greenlands, Harding Avenue, Harrison Close, High Street from its junction with Newall Close  to its junction with Chester Road, Keysbrook, Newall Close, Oaklands Avenue, Oaklands Crescent, Park Avenue, Rean Meadow, Rookery Drive, Smithfields, Tattenhall Road from its junction with Chester Road to its junction with Park Avenue.

The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits.

(Elton area) (20mph speed limit) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

Acacia Close, Alvanley View, Birchwood Close, Coppice Green, Deansfield Way, Dove Close, Ferndale Avenue, Firbank, Greenfield Gardens, Hallfield Drive, Holm Drive, Ince Lane from its junction with Old Hall Lane for a distance of 185 metres in a north-westerly direction, Lawnswood Grove, Lime Grove, Manna Drive, Marsh Lane, Mimosa Close, Mulberry Close, Old Hall Lane from its junction with Parklands Drive northwards to its junction with Ince Lane, Osier Close, Parkland Drive from its junction with Ince Lane northwards to its junction with Mulberry Close, Pinewood Close, Poplar Grove, Redwood Drive, Sorbus Close, Willow Grove.

Full details of the proposals are in the draft Orders which, together with plans showing the extent of the proposals, may be examined at the Council Offices, Ground Floor Reception, The Forum, Chester.

If you wish to object to the proposed Order, or to any provisions contained in it, you may do so in writing specifying the grounds on which it is made, to the undersigned by Friday 28 September.
