'One-Stop-Shop' service launched for social housing customers

10 February 2016

Cheshire West and Chester Council and its partners Plus Dane, Sanctuary and Weaver Vale Housing Trust have launched a new service called West Cheshire Homes.

The new service has replaced the current Trust Homechoice service for advertising social housing in the area and the Housing Solutions Service which provides housing advice and help to households threatened with homelessness across the borough.

The new ICT solution, commissioned by Cheshire West and Chester Council, provides one integrated system for customers that are looking for a home in the West Cheshire area.

Customers are able to access information about potential housing options and details of help and support available. They are also able to apply for social housing in the area and express an interest in housing advertised weekly on the West Cheshire Homes website: www.westcheshirehomes.co.uk.

Councillor Angela Claydon, Cabinet Member for Housing, said: “The housing solutions team along with its partners is committed to reviewing and improving services for customers.

“West Cheshire Homes advertises available homes across the Cheshire West and Chester area and makes finding a home as simple, fair and open as possible.” Customers are able to access advice about all housing options, apply for social housing in the area and express an interest in housing advertised weekly on the West Cheshire Homes website www.westcheshirehomes.co.uk.
