The Re-imagining Neston Group, which comprises members of the community and representatives from all the key organisations operating in the town along with ward members from Cheshire West and Chester Council is proud to launch its CH64 Vision Tree.
The Vision Tree was developed by the group to clearly show what it felt were the town’s strengths and unique qualities and what its aspirations for the area were. These aspirations were then split between what was achievable in the short to medium term and what were longer term ambitions.
The strengths form the trunk of the tree while the achievable outcomes and aspirations form the leaves.
To take the achievable outcomes and aspirations for the area forward four key themes have emerged:
Cllr Louise Gittins, Leader of Cheshire West and Chester Council and ward member for Neston said: “Re-imagining Neston is a new group that’s seeking to create a bright and exciting future for Neston by focusing on a series of achievable aims which will make a real difference to people’s lives and the future vibrancy of the area.
- Economic investment
- Happy, healthy communities
- Culture, tourism and heritage
“The next steps are to encourage as many people as possible to engage in the themed working groups. This is a really exciting time for Neston, so please join in”.
The dates for the first two meetings are listed below and everyone is invited:
The housing group and the culture group will meet during July. Dates will be promoted very soon.
