Cheshire West Voluntary Arts annual networking day

10 February 2016

Voluntary arts groups from across Cheshire West and Chester are invited to a networking event on Saturday, 20 February.

Voluntary groups will be able to listen to a number of speakers on a range of topics and network with each other at the Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network annual networking day from 10.30am - 1.30pm at All Saints Church in Hoole, Chester.

Guest speakers will include Charlotte Mountford, Communications Manager at Action Transport Theatre, who will lead a ‘Using Digital’ talk that discusses using social media to support your work as well as video content, website, blogs and e-news.

Alex Clifton, Artistic Director for Chester Performs, will be leading a talk on Programming and Building a Cultural Community for the new cultural centre in Chester.

Katherine West, Museums and Arts Manager for Cheshire West and Chester Council, will also give a talk on culture development in West Cheshire.

The event is jointly hosted by the Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network and Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Arts Team who have been working together to create the networking morning.

Councillor Diane Roberts, a board member of Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network, said: “This is a great opportunity for voluntary arts organisations to get together, network, find solutions and get support for some of the issues that they face. I would urge everyone involved in this field to attend.

“There will be a series of short presentations based on topics that were suggested at previous events all of which we hope will be of benefit to attendees.” Everyone taking part will also have the opportunity to share their organisations’ publicity materials and meet informally.

Places will be reserved on a first come first served basis. To book please contact Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Arts Team with your name, contact telephone number and the arts organisation you represent, on artswest@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk or telephone 01244 972679.
