Changes at Bishops High School Library
12 October 2016Bishops’ Blue Coat High School will become a school library service only, from 28 October 2016.
Alternative access to the Library Service will be provided by the neighbouring libraries of Chester, Great Boughton and Hoole and also the Mobile Library Service, which will provide three stops within the local community. Customers with books on loan can return them to any library in Cheshire.
The Council’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins said: “The decision has been taken following a review of the council’s libraries in 2014, space limitations at the school and a recent public consultation.
“Any residents with restricted mobility are entitled to use our Home Library Service, which delivers books direct to their home.
“Not forgetting, of course, that there is also a wide range of online resources via the Libraries’ homepage of the council’s website: www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/libraries this includes eBooks and audio downloads – access is free for library members.”
Customers with restricted mobility can access the Home Library Service by contacting their local library or Helen Neal on 01244 977389 Email: Helen.Neal@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk
