Back by popular demand, comedians to give spoof curatorial talks

6 November 2018

Comedians from up and down the country will once again become professors and comment on exhibits in the Grosvenor Museum, this time talking about the death-related objects in the current exhibition Dead Normal. There is a catch, they have never seen any of the slides before and will be making it up on the spot.

‘Dead Funny’ on Wednesday 14 November will be hosted by Chester comedian Danny McLoughlin, who has regularly performed at the UK’s biggest comedy clubs and whose bold delivery and innate sense of humour has seen him support numerous acts on tour including Sarah Millican and Sean Lock.

Councillor Louise Gittins, Cabinet Member Communities and Wellbeing said: “Death and comedy have always been good companions, and Dead Funny promises to be a wonderful night of improvisational dark humour”.

The event runs from 7.30pm to 9pm on Wednesday 14 November in the Lecture Theatre at the Grosvenor Museum. Tickets are £10, which includes a glass of wine or a soft drink. Tickets are available from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/westcheshiremuseums or on the door on the night. Admission to the Grosvenor Museum is free.
