Views invited regarding Housing Allocations Policy
29 February 2016Cheshire West and Chester Council is consulting on potential changes to the Housing Allocations Policy.
The Housing Allocations Policy is a shared policy with partners Plus Dane Housing, Sanctuary Housing and Weaver Vale Housing Trust.
The consultation exercise will go run until May 15; people are invited to share their views on the suggested revisions to the Housing Allocation Policy.
The consultation will give respondents an opportunity to comment on any omissions or revisions necessary.
The consultation documents have been published on the Council’s website and respondents will be invited to complete an electronic questionnaire.
There will also be a targeted approach to the consultation; the council will also contact direct customers on the housing waiting list and the main Housing Association partners Tenants and Resident Groups.
Respondents will be able to express their views in a number of different ways, including writing, emailing or telephoning and speaking to Council officers directly, as they prefer.
Councillor Angela Claydon, Cabinet Member for Housing said: “We are determined to deliver the best possible services to improve the quality of life for all residents.
“We are working closely with our partners to make sure that the housing allocations process is as simple and easy as possible for residents.
Any proposed changes to the allocations policy could affect you in the future so your views and opinions are a vital part of this consultation. I hope everyone who has a view on our proposals gets in touch to let us know their comments.” firstname.lastname@example.org or Telephone 0151 356 6410 and ask to speak to the Housing Strategy Team.
