Operation Shield is here
16 November 2015Operation Shield has arrived in Frodsham today, Monday, 16 November.
Join us in making your community safe from crime and be proud of where you live.
Operation Shield uses state-of-the-art unique DNA liquid, which contains an individual code to mark property in your home, garage and shed.
The DNA coding in the liquid is registered solely to your address and added to a database. This means that if anything is ever stolen from your home it can be traced back to you.
Homeowners will be offered free marking kits - that include a container of the unique liquid, an application brush and details of how to register property.
Once property has been marked and registered, stickers can be displayed around your property to work as a deterrent to any burglars who may be looking to target your home.
This project is led by Cheshire Police and is supported by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cheshire West and Chester Councillors, Frodsham Town Council and Weaver Vale Housing Trust. Officers from these organisations will be visiting residents within the Ship Street area from Monday, 16 November to discuss ways residents can protect their property and possessions and to listen to their views about how their community can be improved.
If you would you like to be involved more in community activities please let one of the officers know
