Polling station move following heavy rain in Chester City Centre

17 June 2016

A polling station for Thursday’s EU Referendum will be moved following a week of heavy rain in Chester city centre.

Water damage at St Mary’s Centre, in St Mary’s Hill, means that the polling station planned for the building will be moved to room G2 in the HQ building, in Nicholas Street.

The move only affects voters whose polling card lists St Mary’s Centre as their polling station.

Steve Robinson, Counting Officer for Cheshire West and Chester, has written directly to all electors in the polling district and signs will be put up at St Mary’s Centre to inform voters of the change.
