Residents given chance to retrain to get a better job
26 April 2019The Council and Cheshire College South and West are offering a career boost to people earning less than £15,736.50 as well as those who are currently looking for work.
Residents are being given the free opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications in maths, English, ICT and ESOL.
The courses are taking place regularly in Ellesmere Port Library and Cheshire College South and West.
Lisa Harris, Director of Place Strategy at Cheshire West and Chester Council, said: “Our retraining sessions are a fantastic opportunity for people who are eligible to upskill and improve their career prospects.
“There are different functional skills courses available, some of which take place are over a five day period and others are weekly.
“Once people are retrained and able to achieve these qualifications, their CVs will be enhanced and they will be in a better position to get the job they want and improve their personal circumstances.”
