Councillor Louise Gittins, Cabinet Member for Communities and Wellbeing said: “This is a very exciting moment for the development of Heritage and Visual Arts in the city and we want to ensure as many people as possible are engaged with the development of this strategy.

“We have been working with the Heritage and Visual arts industry in Chester to shape this strategy and completed work to understand the motivations for people visiting the city and the borough. We want to use the data gathered and the input from the public to shape the delivery of this exciting strategy.” The consultation will share the results of research highlighting the key reasons why people come to Chester and what would bring them back again. The strategic vision will be presented with consultation on how the priorities can be delivered.

The event will also look at how Cheshire West and Chester Council can work with the public and stakeholders to deliver the priorities.
