Ellesmere Port photographic competition 2016
5 August 2016Entries have now opened for the Ellesmere Port photographic competition. If past years are anything to go by the standards are expected to be very high once again.
Twelve photographs will be chosen to create the I Love EP Calendar 2017. The not for profit 2017 calendar will go on sale in December 2016 in aid of the Mayor of Ellesmere Port’s charity of choice Beat, the U.K.’s Eating Disorder Charity.
Photographs should show Ellesmere Port as a thriving place for residents, communities, and businesses alike. Entries could include locations that show new building projects, popular events, or skilled workers in Ellesmere Port. The aim is to showcase what the town has to offer.
Said Councillor Peter Rooney, The Mayor of Ellesmere Port: “Ellesmere Port has a vast diversity of landscapes, flora and fauna, industrial, rural and urban areas.
“Building projects always attract attention, we have new houses being built across the town, including the Ledsham Garden Village near Little Sutton, the Magenta scheme on Sutton Way, and the Countryside scheme on Cromwell Road that could make good photo subjects.
“With so many opportunities for great images to be captured and shared, get out and let's show what this fantastic town of ours has to offer and let's show why We Love Ellesmere Port.”
The closing date for photographs is 1 October. To enter the competition, email your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org
